# Activate The App

### Enable COD Blacklist so it can enforce payment rules at checkout.

#### What activation does

* Installs a Shopify “payment customization” that hides selected payment methods (e.g., COD) during checkout.

#### Steps to activate

* Open Apps > COD Blacklist by Appsetup.
* On the Home page, click Activate App. Wait for confirmation or the “Activated” badge.
* Optional: Verify in Settings > Checkout and accounts > Payment customizations that COD Blacklist is Enabled.

#### Next steps to make it work

* Create rules OR add customers to your blacklist:
  * Rules: Go to Payment Rules, create a rule (e.g., hide COD), and toggle it ON.
  * Blacklist: Go to Blacklist, add/import customers, and choose which payment method(s) to hide for them.
* Changes apply instantly at checkout once saved.

#### Verify in checkout

* Start a test checkout that matches your rule or uses a blacklisted customer.
* Confirm the targeted payment method is hidden.
