Activate The App

Enable COD Blacklist so it can enforce payment rules at checkout.

What activation does

• Installs a Shopify “payment customization” that hides selected payment methods (e.g., COD) during checkout.

Steps to activate

• Open Apps > COD Blacklist by Appsetup.

• On the Home page, click Activate App. Wait for confirmation or the “Activated” badge.

• Optional: Verify in Settings > Checkout and accounts > Payment customizations that COD Blacklist is Enabled.

Next steps to make it work

• Create rules OR add customers to your blacklist:

  • Rules: Go to Payment Rules, create a rule (e.g., hide COD), and toggle it ON.

  • Blacklist: Go to Blacklist, add/import customers, and choose which payment method(s) to hide for them.

• Changes apply instantly at checkout once saved.

Verify in checkout

• Start a test checkout that matches your rule or uses a blacklisted customer.

• Confirm the targeted payment method is hidden.
